NFL TIPS and PICKS

As some of you know, I’m an avid NFL Fantasy Football player, and have enjoyed success, and had a blast playing.

I read all the main sites, including nfl.com and yahoo, and have finally decided, after years of waiting for one of the writers to actually give me information that I DON’T know, to use part of this site to give you fantasy players some real information.
All you have to do is read ALL the comments to see how smart these writers are.

Don’t get me wrong, even when these guys are wrong, which happens a lot, they are entertaining. And that is their game, as what they are trying to do is extremely difficult. It is often just as tough to make a fantasy prediction/decision as it is to pick the winner of a real game, especially when you pull the old point-spread into the equation.

So I’m looking to set up a real site, and bring you a different, but very relevant, two-pronged look at the fun things the NFL brings us! Whether Fantasy or Reality, its all a a great time!

Yep, I get a streak going, and then super-analyse every bet until I decide its not “safe” for this site.

Well, of course its never “safe”, and why I offer any picks as a fun thing only, with no liability for any way that a reader might decide to use the picks.

With that in mind, I’m cutting loose with a few picks that I would not have put up last week. Use at your own risk.

Take the Jets minus 6.5, the Ravens minus 11, the Titans minus 7, and the Chiefs minus 9.Yea, I’m breaking a lot of my “rules”, but otherwise I’d be sitting out like last week.

I’m not one to sit here and brag about historic achievements, but things have obviously been good lately.

But since we are all REALLY concerned about ourselves, I passed on what looked like a good Falcon bet tonight. But I held off, despite Ryan’s awesome home record, etc. And it came down to a last minute touchdown, which I’m never comfortable with…

Bet It Out

It looks like a tough weekend, so I hope I’m not “forcing” this, but also don’t want to lose the momentum from last week.

So here we go with just the two picks… First, I’m taking the Chiefs, and giving 9.5 points! wow!

Okay, maybe I’m not totally crazed, as I’m hoping that awesome defense of the Jags continues to play like a collection of rookies.

Second, but not necessarily in that order, I’m taking the Seahawks, and giving 6.5 points. wow, I’ve picked a couple of powerhouses this week!

Take the Seahawks and the 7 points, then give up to 14 points and take the Steelers. If you want to push your luck, take the Ravens, but make sure you get the 3 points.

Hardly a surprise that I like the Ravens against the Browns, but it’s the 10.5 points you have to give Cleveland that MAY make this a tough wager for some bettors.

I normally never GIVE 10.5 points but here, with Cleveland unsure at QB, and with Harrison maybe out, I like the Ravens a lot.

What swings me here is I think it’s the week Flacco gets untracked, and figures out how to use his new receivers properly. Also, I’m thinking OC Cameron remembers that he has Ray Rice in the backfield, and looks to get him on a roll.

We had great success in 2008, but then became involved with designing a system that totally eliminated the emotion from this great game. We almost sold the system, and this domain, but when lawyers got involved, and we started to fight amongst ourselves as to what we would consider, we decided to take a timeout.

This was all about having fun, a bunch of Canadians growing up loving the N.F.L.

So now we are back, with a clear vision, and all are still the best of friends. Thankfully,  one of us remembered to call a time out in 2009, which brings us to week 3 of the 2010 season.
